How do you mean Deb?
It has good depth and the subjects are crisp.

It all really works already, there isnt much that I can recommend I cant do any better. Great shot!!

I do admit it is missing something though, I just cant pin point it.

A bit of eye contact may be what it's missing - I'd be interested to see the look on their faces!!

Hard to improve. Perhaps directional light for the subject and slightly underexposed background?

Deb it is a superb image.

The only nit I have is the background is a bit busy. Going with a larger aperture may have helped, assuming you can keep the butterflies sharp.

Thanks for the encouraging comments all ,
RE Appeture shot at 2.8 70-200L and lense won't go larger but agree with comment about background so will PS and blur the background, perhaps saturate the colour a tad also
RE light this was natural light on overcast day so will try again

Going back tomorrow with macro lense and ring light - doubt the same pair will still be at it unless viagra enhanced , but hopefull it's the season so will see others.
Thanks again
DebT

And this is about the best natural light you can get. Full Sun is too harsh, but an overcast sky gives a nice soft light.

Maybe a little contrast curve and vignette can bring it up slightly more.
