Open day at Brisbane International yesterday, you could sit anywheree you want and so I did.

Sorry about the very low-res files.

So where did you sit .....on the court? Great expressions caught on their faces and excellent exposure. I assume the courts are indoors?

Oh and by the way, in case you did not realise we are now in 2009 :)

Very good action shots!
So where did you sit .....on the court?

I wouldn't have thought cameras would be allowed except for the press.
By the way, what lens did you use? You can see their freckles :) .

The front row is very close to the court and quite low and you are allowed to take in a 200mm lens (TC could be in your pocket)

great shots Darren. I was in early in the morning but the security wouldn't let me bring in 80-200mm lens and I didn't read the FAQs

It would be fair to say that the security guys were very fresh and were not well briefed. I guess it was to be expected Day 1

Shame you had to mistakenly leave camera in the cloak room

From their FAQ, it says:

FAQ wrote:The following are not allowed:
Camera tripods, monopods, telephoto camera lenses with a focal strength of greater than 200 mm; video cameras and handy-cams.

So any 70-200, 80-200 are allowed...

And literally a 200mm f/2 is allowed with the TC in your pocket...
