What gorgeous kids! I lurve 2.8 lens and they are fantastic for portrait work... the first would be my pick mainly because its so different.. the hand in front makes me laugh as I've seen that sooo many times! I also really like the second but would have preferred a tiny bit more dof to get her other sharp also.. :)

Thanks. I do agree with you about the second shot. I was very much enjoying using a lens with such a shallow DOF, but I would probably take some different shots next time. It was a new experience for me shooting at 2.8, and it takes some getting used to. For reference, the lens was a 24-70mm 2.8 AFS borrowed from a friend, and I found it incredibly addictive.
