One Swallow doesn't make a Summer..........So what does one do when the fishing starts off badly? .....but take some nice shots of Swallow's on a yacht.
Headed out to Pt.Hacking this morning, early start 5.30am, put the boat in @ Gray's Point. The day started out well when we hooked a nice Jewfish on a 7" Gulp, got a look at him and he would have gone around 8kg's, however my mate Bill's line decided to part company at the leader knot!! Then hooking and landing a nice Lizard (Flathead) @ around 65cm's only to have it shake the pliers and drop back in the drink(whilst trying to get a photo) as I pointed to Bill at the time we were about to drift onto a yacht! Boat traffic on this lovely day was horrendous! ................that's fishing C & C most welcome Cheers Marc Welcome Swallow (Hirundo neoxena), Port Hacking, Sydney D300 70-200VR+1.7tc f/4.8 ISO200 1/2000s@340mm +SB900 (around 40% crop) D4|D3S|D700+MB-D10| 14-24 |24-70|70-200 f/2.8 VRII|70-200 f/4 VR|80-400 AF-S|500VR|Sigma 150 f/2.8 macro|TC's 1.4,1.7E & 2.0III|SB 900
Re: One Swallow doesn't make a Summer..........The first two shots a good with great poses but the background lets them down. Number 3 is superb!

Agree Andrew, a natural perch would have been preferable, but that's quite hard to come by at times. Cheers Marc D4|D3S|D700+MB-D10| 14-24 |24-70|70-200 f/2.8 VRII|70-200 f/4 VR|80-400 AF-S|500VR|Sigma 150 f/2.8 macro|TC's 1.4,1.7E & 2.0III|SB 900
