Curlew

Nobody ever seems to stop and look at the curlew at the Adelaide Zoo - so he always wants to get up close and personal with visitors!

yeah its always the little 'ol birds who miss out :(

Nice up close and personal shot, maybe alittle extra contrast is my only suggestion...

Great close-up shot of this interesting bird. I'd like to see a bit more detail in the beak.

Thanks - this was with the 35 f2 @ f5.6. There's only a tiny crop on this pic, just a touch off the right hand side, so as you can see he wasn't that far from the lens!

ps Hope you're settling in OK in Canada - it's predicted to be 41 here in Adelaide on Tuesday, no doubt even warmer in Renmark!

Yes, we have settled in ok so far. Been here a week, the weather has been down to around -20 so a bit different to Renmark! But there's snow everywhere, it feels like we are in a movie.

I love Curlew as their eyes demand so much attention...they always appear too big for their head :!:
