Boring Opera House shots

i'm continuing my landscape journey with moderate success. i still dont have the knack for understanding how to compose shots properly and i hope tht comes with practice...but it was a good learning experience all the same. the main thing i'm leanring is how to adjust for shooting still life....you need patience and you need to take your time in thinking about the shot before you take it.
i had a perfect sky, very little wind to note, thebest lens' nikon has to offer, pretty good even light but my competance as a landscape photographer wasnt up to the task and i couldnt take full advantage of it. the 3 P's Chris...the 3 P's...
so after some frustration, i went back to some things i like taking best. here's an improvised bug shot...
and some birdies...
