Bathing Charlie

Today was a scorcher down here in Melbourne. Charlie was feeling the heat so I offered him a bath. Unfortunately my flash batteries were low so I only got to fire off a half dozen before they died. Trying to get as much use out of it before I have to return it to its rightful owner :?

Please C&C... He's one of my favourite subjects, but can be incredibly difficult to capture.

While these appear to be snap shots, I'd say these suffer from distracting background elements and would next time try to remove or compose the shot to avoid detracting from the main subject, who's cute. I'm not sure if its my uncalibrated screen but these look a too warm to me, could just be the brick and red plate, but I'd get someone with calibrated screen to give their opinion on if the WB is where is should be at.

A great subject with a big 'cute' factor. On my monitor the images appear to be too dark....I suspect they might be about 1 or 2 stops under exposed which would explain why they look a little muddy. This would also explain the slight colour shift. It may have been your flash not working properly?

I think if my cats saw these they would complain that their dinner is undercooked!

Great concept though.
