Reflections of a Dusky Moorhen

Taken this morning down at our local wetland- Moore Reserve, Sydney.
D300 200-400VR 1/750s ISO400 f/5.6@400mm. 30% crop.
I would have liked to get lower (for better BG seperation) but the vegetation close in prevented this.

This is a great shot, sharp as a tack.

My only comment is that the background at the top is a little distracting.
I would have a play with cropping maybe 30-50% of the background above the top of the birds head.
What a shame you couldn't get down lower to match the reflection with the background.

Excellent image and nice and sharp. It is a pity the background in the reflection is so different to the original - or maybe it isn't.

It is a very clever Dusky Moorhen.

It has learnt how to move in water without making ripples.

just rotate it by 180 degrees!
