When nature throws down

Well last night sure was hot and I decided to go for a drive as there was much activity in the air.. Here is a timelapse shot showing a particularly active 10 minutes of lightning. The camera was so hot from being in the car all day that this is the first time I have ever seen noise in an image from it at 400 ISO. I was hoping to get the lightning as it moved over the metro area but it was not co-operating which is a pity as it would have given the shot more balance. Not really happy with the extra sky glow etc but I do like how the shot shows the activity in this period. I guess this is more of a record of the intensity rather than a poster shot.Lesson from this dont let your camera reach 50 degrees and expect it to behave as per normal!!!!

There's some good lightning there. A bit of a shame about the noise. It looks like you have an explosion on the right.

From now on when you say how little noise your Canon has, we can point to this.

ROFL about the noise. Interesting shot though, i love how you have managed to catch soo many lightening bolts in one picture.
