Re: Local thiefLooks like he has "attitude". I just wonder whether these are a tad oversharpened, a bit of a halo efffect evident.
We have a few magpies who come up on our back verandah. They have come to an arrangement with our pet dogs about "sharing" the dog food.

Re: Local thiefI have trouble with fine focus points as the focus point in the viewfinder encompasses the whole head of the bird, yes auto sharpen and wb was sunlight but bird is in light shadow - good advise - still learning.

John, If you shot in raw, you should be able to correct this fairly easily. g.
