Feedback on the PP for #1 and 2 would be useful, I couldn't really decide what to do with them.

I like the composition of #1, but think the colour temperature is way too cool. Look at the handrail and notice how blue it looks.

#2 I also like, but I'd like to see how cropping a big chunk of the left goes. I think the clump of bright rocks there draws the eye away from the aflls on the right. And again it's a little too cool (not as much as #1 though)

#3 is a cracker. I like the diagonals and the wonderful backlit detail.

#4 doesn't grab me (sorry). It's very green (WB issues) and it's a bit noisy (as I'd expect at 1600 ISO), but the big minus for me is that he's on the path and so the shot has a less natural feel.

I like #1 and #2 but I believe the problem with #1 can be attributed to chromatic aberration.

In the larger (linked) image, look at the fringing where the sky is viewable through the trees, in the upper rh segment. A difficult situation to photograph, and the contrast range displayed is well beyond the capabilities of the camera's sensor.

I actually almost think that the bluish cast helps to enhance this image. Forests are dark, cool places, and the blue-ness is often a quality of the light one encounters when in this sort of environment. In this case, it adds to the feel of the image.

For #2 I would crop in from the left to just past the two light trunked trees.
I really like #3. That is a great choice of lighting.
I agree with Peter about the background in #4. Bit of a bummer really.

#1) I agree with Chris on the chromatic aberration. Either than and/or it has been over sharpened.

#2) Looks a bit over saturated for me. The colours don't look quite right. I don't mind what you have included, though, as it shows the contrast on the scenery.

#3) I like the diagonal feel of this one but feel the contrast is a bit high. This could be the harsh sun, though.

#4) I have a similar shot and as other have said, the unnatural ground takes away from the shot.

I was going for the very saturated/vibrant look intentionally, it might not be some peoples cup of tea.

The colour in these is closer to true for the day.
The biggest prob was the harsh light on the day. They would be better if you were working with areas of the same light intensity.jmho. Maybe try to bring the highlights down a touch?
A lot of the time we have no choice but to try new and different stuff as you get what mother nature gives you when you go out and about.
I really like the foreground in the new shot of the falls.
