One of the things I love about wandering through the forest (aside from the fact it smells so wonderful) is the abundance of interesting detail to be found. It is so easy to walk past some fascinating details without a second glance while we take in the big picture.

I like the details. It is a pity there was so many initials carved into trees around the forest.
