A few Macros

I came across a few willing subjects for some macro shots.
All comments/suggestion welcomed.

I like them both.
#1) While I like the narrow DOF, I think it needs to be a little wider so that it appears sharp from the tip of the snout to the eyes. The soft nostrils and snout takes away from the image for me.
#2) DOF is fantastic on this and so is the detail. It could probably do with a little light on top of the head between the eyes as there isn't much detail that can be seen the way it is now.

#2 is great. Is it a composite image? If not then wow on the depth, very nice.

Where can i get some of this luck? im guessing its a fair amount of your skill, number two is an amazing shot, out of intrest how many trys did you have befor you got this flawless image?

What's the damselfly perched on? Seems a bit out of place, even though it does result in a very interesting photo.
