We had a meet up at the Adelaide Botanic Gardens to exercise our macro shooting. :D

Here's some of my shots from the day...

Most of these shots are heavily cropped (some equivalent to 2Mpx), so they're not great but I think they came up OK.

The third shot is fantastic. Which lens did you use for that one?

Thanks. My macros were all done with the Sigma 150mm f/2.8 lens.
But keep in mind I did a hard crop on that one in post-processing. Having said that, I did not get close enough to a 1:1, so you can do better. :)

Thanks Deb. Yes the yellow was blown and I couldn't bring it back, even shooting raw!

It was a good day. One good thing about macro is you can find things to shoot anywhere.
Perhaps you when you take a break from the high pressure world of fishing you can relax with some quiet macros. :D
