Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent. Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature. Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Ice, ice, baby (Antarctica part VIII)Yet another example of the colours that abound: it's not a B&W environment!
EOS 5DmkII, 100-400mm IS @ 130mm Marguerite Bay, Antarctica EOS 5DmkII, 100-400mm IS @ 160mm Half Moon Island, Antarctica Here you can see a couple of my fellow "yellow penguins" (each with a tripod of course!). At this point it was steadily raining. It didn't stop us taking photos though! So we had sunny days... EOS 5DmkII, 100-400mm IS @ 285mm Marguerite Bay, Antarctica And grey days... Re: Ice, ice, baby (Antarctica part IIX)Dave
Overall these are the weakest group of images you've shared so far (but you set the bar very high) - that said I really like the subtle tonalities of #3 and suspect it would look great in a larger version where more detail is apparent. PS The pedant in me has to point out it should be part VIII not IIX Peter

Re: Ice, ice, baby (Antarctica part IIX)
Corrected, thanks. It was after midnight that I posted...
Re: Ice, ice, baby (Antarctica part VIII)I saw this thread for the first time tonight and then went back to see the other 7 threads in the series. I have pretty much sat here with my mouth hanging open the whole time. Your images are just amazing, showing so much beauty and life and wonder (if that makes sense).
Thank you for sharing these and the stories with them. Elena
