They are different...and that's always a good thing. The sepia is a bit bright...maybe knock it back a little with DESATURATE. Nice to see black and white images....oh..and welcome to the forum! Looking forward to seeing more of your imagery and posts. :D

Hi iklint and welcome to the forum - first post with pics - fantastic :D

I actually prefer the middle of the three shots simply because you have caught something in the boys eyes between anger and sorrow - beautiful.

Look forward to seeing a lot more of your photos :D

Thanx for posting. I like the B&W work for these shots.
I hope we get to see some more.

Firstly welcome lklint, I know that as many of us have, you will come to really enjoy the time you spend here. Secondly, congrats on your first post. I really like the first image the most, it's crisp, clean and clear and shows a kind of unassuming dimention from the boy. Would love to see more of your posts.

Welcome. I think the first shot is great and uses B & W well. I find the out of focus hand in the 2nd one quite distracting, & less so in the third one. I do think that what I can see in the second one is evocative, I'd just liked to have seen the whole face. All up a very good start though and wise use of colour (or absence thereof) for these as these images are stronger as a result. Thanks for sharing.

Edit: And please update your profile with your location. It helps us know if you're a neighbour or not :)

I like the 1st image but I like the expression in the second image better. South Africa is a great place. So many places to go! Bet you had a great time in 3 months.

Hi Nicole,
Yeah, we had an excellent time, but as we worked at a safari lodge, we saw only a tiny fraction of SA. Would love to go back there. But I'll post some more of our pictures, if the forum would like?

Hi Lars,
I agree with the consensus. The eyes in the second portrait are very haunting. I woud love to see some more of your pictures.

Numbers 2 & 1 for me (in preferencial order) ...I hope the spelling police don't come down on me for that comment!

Please post more. Sensational photos. I wish I had some subjects like that to shoot.
