Sunrise

I was on my way to Wagga Wagga a couple of weeks ago during that really hot weather. I had taken my camera because I was bound and determined to come across a sleepy on the road. But at 5.55am, I saw this instead... coming over the bridge after Renmark. I walked back a long way to get these shots.
Now, newbie as I am, I can see that there are some exposure problems here - i.e. the back is just not black enough. I had trouble with the lighting and I still don't know how to use my camera properly (I need more practice).

others may disagree, however I reckon the exposure is pretty well there, admittingly I do have my monitor on the dark side...

I think composition was the key in these shots, it looks like there was the potential for great symmetry, the final image conveys that the best imo. The first image has alot of dead space in the foreground, maybe crop this out and see what it looks like.

I can imagine a tripod would have helped here, but sometimes you gotta do what you can with what ya got.
