What does 6 hours of Astronomy look like?

Last night myself and 12 other keen individuals set up 9 telescopes for a night of Astronomy. This is a 6 hour shot showing how much activity there is through out the night.

Very cool shot. Is that a number of long exposures all stacked together? Would you have a good reference on how its done that I can read somewhere on the web?

I was at the Newcastle Regional Library yesterday and they had an exhibition on astronomy from local astronomers/photogs and that picked my interest.

Cheers,

André

I like the foreground activity in this one Big V. It is almost as good as those trails.

Wow really interesting -
so this is what it looks like when the earth moves (or is it the sky) I never realised just how much activity there was.
Like the telescope in the forground - not sure why just do

Looks awesome... quite a fan of the two different planes of activity, the rotational and horizontal.
I'm interested in the techinque used.. how long were the exposures? I assumed stacked in PS?
I'm heading off to the flinders ranges over easter... hoping to give this star trail thing a shot.
