Hey guys, LONG time no post.

I have been busy as normal, moving away from music a bit and into wedding photography.

I would love to know what you think of some of my early shots:

There are some more on my flickr as well as the rest of my recent work.

I would love to know what you think. But I will say I was second shooter for all of these weddings so that is why some of the shots arent as conventional/your standard safe shot

I guess i'll go first.. take everything i say with a pinch of salt as I'm far from an "expert" at this

In the first shot i like how the OOF area on the left really draws you to the happy couple, nice framing/crop. The colours seem a bit washed out though?

The 2nd doesn't really do much for me, it may be the expression on the groom though... too focused?

the third is sensational, the contrasts between the green and the white are great, i like how you tried to bring more focus to the bride by changing the direction the bridesmaids are facing... but it makes me wonder was there something more interesting to the right of the frame?

The fourth is by far my favourite, looks great as a B&W and i like the halo around the bride... the doors are somewhat distracting as you can place her in the corridor of a hotel... otherwise it would have some more mystique about it.

The last two are just fantastic, especially the last one.

The first, third and fourth photos are good, especially the fourth. This is a lovely photo and very soft and feminine.

The second photo setting is lovely - great avenue of trees but the groom looks very wooden and inanimate. I wonder what a wild photo of the bride and groom holding hands and running towards the camera would have looked like? Or perhaps, running away from the camera looking back over their shoulders and perhaps throwing the posy into the air as if they are going off to a new life together might have captured the avenue of trees better.

Thank you for sharing

Cheers

Graham

thanks for the responses guys.

As for the groom in #2 i do agree regarding his expression, He wasnt too comfortable infront of the camera (the bride more than made up for it) but i really like the shot considering the circumstances
