Hi leek

Some brutal architecture there - an intriguing view indeed!

#1 - I like the splashes of colour - I wonder if you could accentuate them a bit more?
#2 - is great - for something a bit more abstract you could crop the foyer from the bottom so you can only see the windows - I feel it works better as an abstract without it being clearly identified as a hotel.
#3 is mesmorising and #4 I feel is the weakest.

Nice work!

I agree with Mitchell about the crop in the 2nd. I like the 4th.

The 3rd is good but appears to suffer from pin-cushion distortion (if I have used the term correctly). The verticls seem to bow in at the centre. Even a Meriton building wouldn't experience that! :D

The building in #2 is Jardine House, which is a commercial building (not hotel). But yeah, I think the cropping should either exclude the bottom part, or include more of it for a different perspective.

Hong Kong does have a lot of modern architecture, as well as a lot of older buildings like in #1. Did you get some nice photos around the Central area? I'd bet the IFC buildings would come out very nice.

I like no. 1 and 3. The new and the old.
IMHO> Putting them side by side may work well.

Brought back some nice memories.

I love 2 and 3. I don't mind the cropping in 2.

Well done!

Having been reminded of the lens correction filter in PS, here's my attempt at correcting the distortion on #1 & #4... It was actually mostly vertical / horizontal distortion rather than pincushion or barrel, but I think I've fixed most of it... I left a little bit of vertical distortion in there just because I could...

Just for the record... I left the foyer canopy in on purpose in #2 coz it acted as an image title... but then I guess it's not easy to read at this image size...

The office block with the round windows is known in HK as "the building with a thousand arse holes". This is the direct translation which is funny because it's mostly Lawyers occupying the buliding!

Nice photos by the way..

#1 looks like the view we had from the Holiday Inn last time we were there.

Nice shots. It's hard to get good photos in HK because there is always so much activity and everything is so close together. They love their jack hammers over there!

lol surenj...

This one is great, I enjoyed the others, but the symmetry is beautiful. A bit it does look good big!
