Sigh. I was meant to head to Lake Eyre over the break as well.. Ended up having to stay in the office and work on a huge tender... 50 hours in 4 days.. Now I know what I missed

#1 and #4 are my favourites too... very nice photos.

The moon one could use a bit more brightness and contrast maybe.

Really like the Moonrise :)

Certainly a different world out there isn't it - Would have loved to have seen some of the water while we were there but weren't able to get up far enough in the time we had available. Can only guess what it would have been like, and your pics help that a bit :)

Andrew,

The moonrise is the best of these.

The fourth image in your first post ... The composition leaves me uninspred, from what should be a great image. You have split the image in half with your composition, and thus there is no real point of interest here: the sun is dead centre, and the sky and ground both compete for interest.

I think this image would have benefited from having been shot with more foreground as the dominant element, pushing the sun and sky up further into the top half of the image.

[housekeeping issue]Could you please take a couple of moments to review the FAQ and what it says about signatures? I would not like it if some great ugly site admin got on your case because of a non-compliant signature block. Thanx[/housekeeping issue]

Following a request via PM here is the route I planned out before we left. I didnt save the actual GPS track log as it was a pretty straight-forward route. Hope this helps anyone planning to head up that way and others to visualise where my pics were taken.
