Well John - what can I say except superb pics. The only one that I would comment on is the one with car in the background - the car is distracting

Hi Chris, i have to come up with some good pics of these because i cant seem to find anything eles i can make a good picture out of like the rest of you all on here.LOL
Yes car is distracting as i managed to not get them in other pics taken at that spot and the corner stewards car is in the wrong spot, but a risky spot that so go in took a few and left as hard to notice but i am on the outside of a bend in line if someone comes off.
Oh well all fun.

Thanks rob, i cant wait to get a F/2.8 with faster focus, i make do with what i got but yeh i could get away with just a 70-200 F/2.8 in most places of the track but yeh faster focus is what i need next.
Cheers

I agree with Catcha, they are excellent amd should make the riders very happy if they want to see themselves riding.
Well done. You certainly know which way to point that lens.

John - I believe you have shown that very often it is not the glass you are using but the person with their finger on the trigger.
You have an eye for what you want and you get it - the pics you are taking are worth framing and are most certainly worth buying by the riders

80-400VR kipper, overkill but yeh walking around with this lens all day hangin off your neck, you can see why i might not go there today .LOL was 32 yesterday walking around but yeh that be the lens.
Kipper i do use the 70-300G at times as well they are the only 2 i use at the track till i get an F/2.8 lens.

7 hours? thats seems a bit long John.
how many photos were there? could try to use a batch process, unless you were cloning out dust spots:( on all the day shots.
it happened to me once

Hi Thai, Spose i could mate but some a bit under exsposed as with the sun the way it was i liked to do that. I always look at every picture and adjust levels and so on, pluss only having 265 mb rem in here the computer runs a bit slow at times.
Oh yeh over 300 photo's Thai a day i do at times, as take pics different parts of the track.

Waw, great shots mate! I really those pictures where it's possible to see the eyes of the riders - one can feel their concentration. To me, those pictures really stand out because most motorbike shots I had seen before didn't show the eyes (black glass on helmets)

Cool pics. I like how you can see the expression in some of the shots. Really makes a difference. I bet this is not as easy as you make it look!

I'm with Link, I meant to post earlier that the transparent visors shots are really stunning.

Tah mate. Haven't got down to Mt Gambier yet. Been to Portland while based at Tower Hill but never down to where you are. I know my parents had a weekend away there.

John
These shots are of your usual high standard. Id din't notice the "distracting car" until I went back and had a look.
My favourite is the last one you posted where the rider has crashed. Trouble is I don't think the owner will want to buy a copy
