Different Band this time but also from the Blue Mountains, this one is Olivine a three piece we lots of energy on stage. I find I tend to like the black and whites of the gig shots, they seem often more dramatic and you can push the exposure around a lot more. That said I've been trying to work on the colour as well, and find that sometimes correcting the white balance for skin tones works.. and other times I prefer to keep the lighting colourful and dramatic and to hell with the skin tones, as its more like how I saw it with my own eyes. Love to hear your thoughts - in this case all four I've tried to get accurate skin tones.

The more I use it the better I find it, I was pretty disappointed when I tried these style of photography with the D200. But the D700 just does so much more of the heavy lifting for me. I really need to learn more about setting the camera up, and tweaking some of the settings as I'm sure I'm only scratching the surface, but even so I'm loving it.
