As you have seen in BigV's photos it was a very wet and wild weekend to be in SA, I unfortunatley was on a family camping trip at Burra, and got a chance to snap a few frames in between pegging and re pegging tents trying to stop them from flying away !.

Friday wasn't so bad, got the odd shower but got sime time to walk up the creek.

And got a little wet while cimbing the hill overlooking the campground for this 5 shot pano ( as with most panoramas resize doesn't do it justice.

Saturday the heavens opened, so we drove the town for a while, during a break in the rain i decided to photograph the old train station i have always wanted to.

And again

Glad to be home!!

The two BW images are very nice, an appropriate treatment given the age and condition of the station :)

The pano gets me leaning to the left to see around the tree and standing on my toes to see over the rocky foreground... especially given the nice morning/evening light on the landscape behind  maybe a couple of steps to left may have helped? only my opinion tho!

Hey Adam - a wild weekend it was - got heaps of heavy rain on whatever night it was we passed you (they all started running into each other after a while, had no idea what day it was most times!), glad we were in front of the front rather than behind it that day...

On to the pics -

Not too keen on the first one - would like to have seen without the foreground being so prominent, and focusing more on the great gum and it's reflection in the creek?

I kindof like the pano - the scene is certainly very classic Lower Flinders (an area I love more each time we go through). Love the light, the colours are spot on. Not sure on the framing, but that probably works better with a larger size.

The two of the station make me want to visit. Love the character. I'm not sure on the black and white though - especially after seeing Rob's version. How would these look with perhaps a desat rather than full on b&w?

Very nice images, but the first is the winner for me for composition, colours and simplicity. It conveys a serene and relaxing environment.

Thanks for the comments guys, my mind definetly wasn't on the job for the weekend and didn't really get many good shots.

I love the train station and will definetly look at some different versions of the images i took there.

Cheers
Adam
