I am always posting the same sort of pictures, I am afraid it is getting boring  . Anyway here are some from this morning. I must say beaches are getting crowded at sunrise :!: and it is getting hard not to have someone in the frame.

While I love these, it would be interesting to involve someone in the frame though... Might give it a slightly different feel and perspective...

Hi Gerard,
Nice shots as usual.
Are you using any CPL or grad filters?

getting crowded at sunrise

what on earth are they doing at that hour :?:

I like the first two, I find myelf wanting to know whats on each side of the image, maybe a landscape orietation in this may have also worked.

The last looks OOF, this could be a trick due to the shutter speed but how about freezing the water motion...

just my thoughts tho, grain of salt required.

nuttin' wrong with that imo. :D

True, sometimes birds can help too.

Hi Geoff,
I do use CPL and grad filters to help with exposure.

I think this one has lost a lot of sharpness in the reduction process as it is sharp before reduction. It is a merger of 3 images taken with the 24PC. I still have difficulties focusing with this lens though

....... the 24PC is one of Nikons Sharpest lens...... do you focus this lens wide open then press the button to stop down, or was it merging the 3 layers...... It took me a few outings to get my head around this beast. Now when I am on location and time and subject permits, I tend to use all my lens as manual, exposure as auto, except panos, I get better results working this way......

EDIT: nice set of images

Hi Matt,
I get up at 3 but it is very gratifying to enjoy the sunrise, to take some pictures and then enjoy a big breakfast :!: .

Hi Big Pix,
I focus wide open then press the button. The PSD file looks much sharper than the reduced one. That said, I do struggle with the manual focus  . I also need new glasses   .Here is a cropImage

this may be a silly queston, but when was the last time you ajusted the focus for your eye in the view finder...... I find that mine has to be reset every now and then as I do shoot as a manual camera including focus
