Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature. Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread. Re: First go at a new bornCongratulations. I really like the black and white ones, particularly the 2nd. Did you lighten the shadows a little where the hands meet? It seems a bit more grainy than the rest of the picture. I would perhaps crop off some of the adult's hand to focus more on the baby holding the thumb. I like the interaction between the mum(?) and the baby in the first.

Re: First go at a new bornI bounced the flash off the ceiling and the lower part of the fingers are in shadow, so I lightened the image to bring them up, and lost some impact. Still learning the intricacies of photoshop.
