Picked up a 70-200 F2.8 IS last week. Just couldn't resist. Paid a fortune too but it's a great lens. There's just something about the image quality from this lens. Not sure what it is. Anyhoo, here's some orchids given to my wife last week.

Nice colour in this image oz, but for me a tad busy along with some bits cut off..... would have rather have seen 2 or 3 flowers only but hard to do with a tight spray of flowers......

..... just cut off 2 or 3 and shoot on a plain background by the door in the shadows..... you will get a good pix but may also get the dog house

Not allowed to touch the flowers Bernie, for fear of my life. We don't have a dog so I would be sleeping in the pumpkin patch!

I did have a copy of this lens a few years back, sold it because of the weight, went through several other versions of the 70-200 ilk, then finally came back to this lens. It isn't the sharpest of the four, but I like it's image quality.
