Rainbow Lorikeet

What fantastic weather we had today.

I'd gone down the road earlier today for a coffee and noticed an Osprey cruising the foreshore. Made a mental note to return in good afternoon light as conditions were perfect.

They must have satiated their appetites by the time I returned and all I had was the Rainbow Loris in the foreshore trees and was unable to get any clear shots.

This is the only one worth showing. I actually had to desaturate -5 as this image was so strong

Comments welcome.

And yet, it stil looks oversaturated. Nevertheless, it is a beautiful image worth keeping. They are difficult to photograph because they are so quick and full of energy.

I have a pet Rainbow Lori and she is only about 8 mths old and loves posing for the camera.

They are known as the 'clowns of the bird world', and rightly so...
