Macro meet shots

Went out with some like minded people today to the Roma st Parklands in Brisbane - had a ball :D

Nice spider. I love the selective depth of field and the background color which adds to the image.

Wow! Those pictures just burst outta the screen and hit me in the face! The colours are so vibrant. The first pic really really appeals to me - just the way the purple fits in so perfectly with the background. It's a picture I wish i had taken myself. So you took those photos with your Tamron 90mm macro, handheld (and holdin your breath like a sniper? :mrgreen: ) or on a tripod?

The standout for me is the first, whilst the actual lavender? plant subject does not rock my world the OOF background is awesome - just shows how much the actual stuff behind can make or break an image!

The golden orb weaver is nice too, interesting and different angle!
