How did you get it to stay still? Most of these things I've seen are very busy creatures!

Not rubber...but an old trick is to place an insect into the freezer for a couple of hours. Set up your gear and then retrieve the happless bugger and take pics as he (hopefully) revives. Works great with spiders and rabid dogs.

I dunno - I'm pushing my luck having the fishfood in the freezer, but to put live insects in there as well? hrrrmmmmm

Nice work Matt, you have captured the transulence of the beasty very well indeed. That Nikon glass is superb (in the hands of a craftsman, of course)
