I just needed to get out of Sydney last weekend, so spent a couple of days up in Newcastle with Stubbsy. While there, we ventured a little further north to Port Stephens - here's a few which I'm reasonably happy with, but would appreciate some other views...

quite like the 2nd shot looking south , the boat gives some interest and the coast is a nice line leading through the shot - quite a hike up there isn't it?
Will have to get up there at dusk, I think there could be some extra stunning shots with the right light... :)

Nice series Leon.
The first two are crisp and sharp and I find them quite appealing.
I like the 3rd shot but I'd like the 2nd (back) shell out of the shot, and just the one in the centre of the image, but thats just me.
The 4th shot doesn't really do much for me. I'm not sure the main white shell is isolated/contrasted enough against the smaller shells as it rests on the brown stone.
Thanks for sharing matey.

hey Leon,

my pick of the bunch is #2, clear sharp and classic Port Stephens and the boat in the foreground is a nice touch.

I think the last image has some potential but it needs less DOF to isolate the plane where the main shell is, possibly getting closer to the ground and getting more background might have helped here?! I think the contrasting colours works well in the this image. As another thought, if wanting to keep all of it in focus maybe a shot square on looking from above? of course all academic since it require re-shooting

I just needed to get out of Sydney last weekend,

yep i know that feeling very much so!
