Vivid Sydney Final Nighti was out and about again tonight, so i thought I would share a few more pics:
I thought i would have another crack at HDR...what do you all think? (Photomatix then Noise Ninja) I revisited that tunnel, I quite like the stars that are forming from the streetlights I quite like this one, not sure why though just playing with the 50mm (two stops under to achieve this, being properly exposed resulted in a strange 'normal' look) Cameron

Re: Vivid Sydney Final NightThe HDR doesn't do much for me in this case, but I love the last one, the line of lamps and the corresponding pools of light beneath them is very cool!
Re: Vivid Sydney Final NightI think the HDR might have benefited from a slightly higher PoV. I don't like how the coathanger is bisected by the fence.
Craig's comments regarding the last one are spot on. I'd like to have seen HDR treatment on the third one; the exposure under the bridge is good, but the lights etc in the background are a bit too bright, and pulling them down would make this a better image, I think. g.

Re: Vivid Sydney Final NightI like the last one too!
If only there was a bride and groom or a couple kissing each other under one of the lights.. that would make a perfect wedding photo... Re: Vivid Sydney Final NightThanks for the comments everyone.
I didnt think to bracket the 3rd shot, but I do have the RAW so I may just create a few extra exposures and HDR away with it. I have to admit that I have only been playing with HDR for a few shots (this is I think the 3rd time) so there is much to learn. I quite like how the fence in #1 has turned out, it is a shame that it has cut the bridge.....*doh!* Thanks for looking guys! Cameron

Re: Vivid Sydney Final NightCameron I still quite like the bridge shot. I do agree with Gary about the perspective.
You may find that it's harder to HDR this if you have underexposed it to start off with. You might cause the wrath of the noise gods. I would be keen to see the result however.
Re: Vivid Sydney Final Night
Well I guess I will have to give NoiseNinja a whirl over it (I have a bunch of software goodies at the moment). Lets see if 14-bit raw is worth its memory cost! I'll probably get to this tonight, I dont have the gear here, nor the files. Cameron
