Into the light...

Hi All
A few shots here where I've decided to turn around and look into the sun. Any comments appreciated - this is a new technique for me...
The first 2 are obviously the same scene - any preferences for one or the other?
Cheers

personally I'd like to see #1 with everything cloned out besides the central 2 figures. that would be brilliant. In the absence of that, desaturate so the colours of the umbrella are removed, I find that distracting.

#3 is the standout for me. The long shadows work well, and I particularly like the tone of the paving.

Choose between one and two, number one. Why? Because the lens flair is not as great and the are less distracting elements than in number two, the couple are much more distinct as the subject of the photo. I like like the red umbrella but it would have been better if one of the couple had been holding it.

I like the shot with the pavement best. It would do even better if you get rid of the red lights of the cars.
As for #1, May I suggest to improve Craig's suggestion and get the girl to hold the umbrella and get you to move so that the sun is shining in between the couple....
Mitchell, I can see you are working on the romance of Paris....

The last two. Even if they are into the sun, there is enough detail there to give it good context.
