I did this a few weeks back while raining heavily on the weekend. Something to do when you're stuck at home.

Just wondering has anybody else got good tips on taking them. I used a small sandwich bag, fill it up and cut a little hole at the bottom of it. Somebody mention trying with milk.

Always wanted to try these kinda shots. Need to pick up a flash I guess.

Really like them but you can see the bottom of the tray, well at least bubbles on the bottom of the tray which is a little distracting.

I tried these the other day with varying success, so looking at yours I'll say job well done. I find the dark colour very appealing..

Love them! I must try doing this type of shots, but I need a remote flash trigger for my Canon first. The cable isn't just long enough!

Nice one, wonder if we were doing them on the same rainy day :D viewtopic.php?f=18&t=36648

I would recommend getting a little lower so the pictures are side on maybe. What power setting were you using on the flash?

Yeah, one of the reasons I like Nikon is the CLS feature.

I wouldn't be suprised at all whitey :) . Oh nice colours on your droplets. Yeah I think I might give shooting lower almost side on a try. I was worried that might not give me the 3D look. I was shooting at about 1/8 ~ 1/16 on my SB-600.

Hi, nice deep colour #2 would be my pick

I am a bit of a drop-a-holic and in order to control the position, frequency, size of the drops, and volume of water , I use a plastic juice bottle to which I have placed a tiny hole on the side near the base and fitted (with a little silicon) a small irrigation tap (the type used on my gardening dripper system) - I then secure the bottle with a couple of clams to an old microphone stand above the water ... and voila adjusting the tap controls the flow and the drips always fall in the same palce

Have fun
