My wife and I just spent 8 days driving around around the highlands of Scotland (our 25th wedding anniversary to ourselves). I took about 1,000 images and it will take me months to process them. Here a few that are iconic Scottish landmarks:

Eilean Donan castle

Glamis Castle (now that's what I call a Castle)

Loch Ness (Sorry, no monster)

I really like the 3rd, the 2nd is a bit bland but the first is quite nice as well, although I am not a huge fan of excessive vignettings.

I really love the reflections and the blues in the third. Too bad Nessie wasnt out playing!

Love the 3rd for it's symmetry and colours.

The castle looks like it's out of harry potter....

I love the shot of Nessies waterhole. Eilean Donan Castle was a location for the movie, Highlander.

I like all of them for different reasons. Mainly because I lived in Scotland for seven years and I been in those places. Very good photography.

Stuart,

The vignetting in the first does nothing for me; I think the image will stand on its own, as do the others.

Thanks for your comment Gary, I guess I was trying to create a dark and foreboding image that best represented the ruins of this magnificent castle. Here is the original (no vignette) for comparison.
