Rock shapes and textures

I've become more and more interested in artistic shapes in nature/landscape. Let off a few shots which I'm looking for CC on - both subject/composition and PP.
I find I'm converting to B&W more often as well - especially as static forms lend themselves to this treatment better than other subjects. Should I be sticking to colour?

I like your first because the contrast of colour and last one because of the irregular pattern. The second it is interesting, but it lacks something.

I like #1,3. #2 doesn't do anything for me.
Perhaps with #1 if your POV had been just a little higher so the horizon flowed off that little spur of rock...?

Like the texture on the last shot. The second isn't doing anything for me either.... not sure on the intent?

1st photo is good but I think the colour is a bit off. The sky seems a bit too pumped and the rock seems too green. I'm guessing it's your typical Sydney sandstone? Perhaps try and tone it a little so the rock seems warmer.

re 1st shot... this better?

intent on 2nd shot? none really, just thought it was interesting that an upturned coffee cup was sitting on a bare rock. Looked a little out of place...

good coffee?

I could potentially be talking sh@# here but bear with me! The second one appeals to me, maybe because of teh coffee aspect, however I think if the cup was placed further away and along the leading line (the rock edge) it might work better. I feel when looking at the picture the rock edge draws the eye but the party is over too quick, it needed to travel further into the image. Clear as mud?? :cough:

The first image might look better as BW, however a composition change might have helped also, was there an opportunity to get lower and take the shot? I think that may have given better leading lines into teh picture and give it something extra.

all just my opinion tho! hth

Probably shouldn't have said warmer since it probably wasn't the right description now after having a bit of a tweak in LR with it (hope you don't mind) but try pulling down the yellow and pumping up the orange on the first version you posted, seemed to make a good tweak IMHO.
