Well thanks again for your tips here is the same photo just enhanced the smoke with a second layer (vivid light blending mode) and a layer mask to get the background back to normal. Hope you like it.

Thanks Matt and surenj for having a look at my flickr photos here are three more pics

I had this really over exposed photo which I was kicking my butt for because the subject was so interesting so I tried to fix it up with PS (took a photo of a painting on my wall and used it as background + used 1 image from the lighthouse and another two for his glasses). All three are important features in East Timor. Two thumbs up for PS

Tried to use Photomatrix just love the detail.

5 exposures early in the morning PP with Photomatrix. So hard to get out of bed :biglaugh:

I really like the HDR of the boat...the colours are simply amazing...

As previously stated in another thread...not a big fan of the floating head in so #2 with one shoulder is a much nicer use of the concept.

All the portraits really show strong character...something I really struggle to do with my work.

I hope to see more of your work soon!

Here goes, I've been super busy and not had time for the forum so here's my first CC in a while.

The first shot is a interesting one, the lighting and the smoke combine to add an additional layer of interest as he's lit from behind the area of interest actually is in shadow. It has a cool affect.

#2 I commend your creativity and trying something different, having spent some time hanging out with artists on Redbubble I have a better idea of whats involved, so well done.

#3 Part of me likes it, but the exposure / processing just don't appeal to me much, I think another technique might work better (at least for me).

#4 Nice use of HDR, and well worth waking up early for. I'd like to see more space on the bottom and RHS the composition feels a bit cramped.
