This is a pano I took some time ago when visiting my sister but have been unable to get a decent stich until i purchased Autopano Pro last month. I am a little undecided about brightness which seems to vary depending on the background colour of the screen when viewing. Tell me what you think.

This version has been lightened, added contrast and saturation. Is it too much?

Very nice work Craig, it is a bit dark in the middle but it does have a different, almost foreboding feel about it, unlike the standard shot from echo point.

I like it too. I would try brightening it a little though, especially if you plan to print it.
I hope to get up there soon & get one bathed in late afternoon light.
I need to wait a month or so though. ATM to get it you cop the pay parking. Later in the year, the best lighting will be after the pay parking finishes (17:00)

Thanks guys. I am going to lighten it somewhat and try a few other things to bring the colour of the cliffs out a bit more.

I did this one late in the afternoon and I have an early moning one from the following day. Both done outside the pay parking times. Dropped in to Echo Point with some mates in Feb this year and had to pay for parking, but we stuck three bikes in the one parking bay and split the cost.

I agree with the overall brighting a bit, however I think i will buck the trend and say maybe it could work to darken that right side of the image rather than have just the middle isolated as a dark patch - having teh RHS also dark might lead the eye across to the 3 sisters more.....just a thought...

The image has some very nice colours also, I think with a little overall brightening these will be even more prominent.

#2 is a big improvement I think. A tad too green though. And the haze has become a little electric. Mind you, I look at the real thing pretty much every day, so I am probably more picky than the average bear err tourist.
I like the way you have kept & enhanced the drama of the clouds.

I'll have another look at home but that 2nd one does not look right to me...the colours are a bit too saturated but it could be this shit monitor.

A tad too green though

:agree:

I think its a big improvement on teh original, but just backing off that saturation would nail it. Although I am still going for the darkened RHS

thanks for the followup with the reworked image
