Wow. I just noticed I'm at the 10K post mark (memo to self - get a life). To mark the occasion I am posting these shots taken at our Vivid Sydney 2x2 night meet using one of my favourite lenses - the 10.5 f2.8 Fisheye lens.

Congratulations, Peter.
10000 posts is quite an achievement, and a lot of words.
And in your case, the words have all been most meaningful. Thank you for your contribution to this forum; your contributions are gratefully appreciated by all of us.

Peter - 10,000 posts is an absolutely fantastic contribution to this forum and your input has been amusing, witty, informative and often inspiring. I think one thing that you'll remain 'famous' for is your Sydney harbour foreshore walks and ferry hops which are another great way that you've helped keep this forum more than an 'online' forum!! Well done.
I like this series of images, and my faves are the 2nd and 3rd. The lighting effects on these two really help exagerate the work that the fisheye has done for you. Great stuff!

I like what you've done with #2 here Peter - counteracts the tilt in the picture well. Gotta love those starbursts from that lens when you get into the higher apertures

Nicely done Peter. I was looking forward to seeing your vivid sydney photos for a LONG time!!
My fav is #2 for the light which suits the building and your post with the tilting...
Congrats on the 10k posts...

Well done on the 10k mark, is that like turning 30? or 40 for that matter?
that second image is great, the postcard style border really suits the image, that is something I would expect to see on those postcards you get from the touristy joints!
great choice on lens for the moment!

Congratulations.
Love shot #2 the differing angles and curves, and lighting on the building make the shot.

#2 is my favourite, if I had to pinpoint a reason, it still looks like a building, not something out of Alice in Wonderland.
As far as the 10k posts, thank you for being a leader in this community, you've been in part responsible for improvements in my photo taking, you took the time to offer fair, and sometimes hard to hear critique of my photos and its made me a better photographer. You definitely contributed to my camera, lens, and storage lust (3 NAS in one home... grrrr), you've been responsible for organising some of the best photography outings I've had the pleasure of attending, and some I just couldn't make (which is always a disappointment). So here's to your 10k contribution, and many more in the years to come, see you on AW weekend!

Thank you all for your comments. #2 is far and away my favourite, but until the idea of the odd framing occurred to me I had to crop too much image to rotate what was a very crooked shot.

All of the very nice, but the second is palying havoc with my autism. Shoudn't the building be framed according to the inside white frame?

Congratulations Peter
10000 what a milestone!
It is not hard to believe that the 10.5 is one of your favourite lenses and you wield great aplomb. I too favour the more realistic and beautifully lit #2
cheers

Congratulations there Peter...and here I was silently celebrating reaching the 2000 mark!
I love the use of the fisheye and the frames actually add to the images (esp the 2nd one).
Thanks for all the advice, and i hope that i will learn heaps more off you!
