Hi everyone,
I was asked by a friend to take a couple of shots at his sons footy game today. I must say its hard to be in the right spot to capture the actionlet alone try and get it nice and sharp where required.

I thought I would put a couple up and see what people thought.

Any C&C greatly appreciated.

I know how you feel, I went to the footy not so lohng ago and its hard work.

One thing I did learn was, composition is key, I took lots of pictures and found the best ones where those with the player (s) running towards the camera, also getting in nice and tight makes a difference.

The second and third are the stronger images, both i feel could benefit from some cropping, the second, whilst there is space on the RHS and it is clear thats where he is gonna run, maybe try cropping this out to isolate just the two engaged players?

The third image I reckon needs to be cropped to include only the kicker and possibly the umps.

I agree that a tighter crop would work better. I think I would also prefer colour.

nice work, football is tough to shoot! (and pretty tough to play)

As Gerry has already said, tighter crops (best done in post in this case) would increase the impact (no pun intended) of the images.

The colour image looks very strange on my monitor. blown out highlights and oversaturated colours...not sure if I like this.

Great work though.
