Humanity

Late this afternoon i found out that a colleague of mine passed away in Brisbane. His life was taken away suddenly. He was a young man in his 30's. A wife and 3 young kids. I would not class him as a friend per se. he was a man i knew, and knew reasonably well. he was a good man. his name was Dion.
Tonight i had quite a few plans for some shots cos i had some time but my heart wasn't in it. while i was eating my dinner and playing with Lucas, a young woman had to not only deal with her grief but she also had to figure out some way to tell her 3 young kids that daddy wasn't coming home.
it is a sobering thought. an incredibly sad one. life goes on for humanity collectively no matter what individual circumstances may strike us personally.
i'd like to think though that as human beings we are connected somehow. so tonight as i remember Dion, i hope somehow his family knows people are thinking of them and our hearts go out to them.
RIP Dion.
