Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent. Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature. Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. HumanityLate this afternoon i found out that a colleague of mine passed away in Brisbane. His life was taken away suddenly. He was a young man in his 30's. A wife and 3 young kids. I would not class him as a friend per se. he was a man i knew, and knew reasonably well. he was a good man. his name was Dion.
Tonight i had quite a few plans for some shots cos i had some time but my heart wasn't in it. while i was eating my dinner and playing with Lucas, a young woman had to not only deal with her grief but she also had to figure out some way to tell her 3 young kids that daddy wasn't coming home. it is a sobering thought. an incredibly sad one. life goes on for humanity collectively no matter what individual circumstances may strike us personally. i'd like to think though that as human beings we are connected somehow. so tonight as i remember Dion, i hope somehow his family knows people are thinking of them and our hearts go out to them. RIP Dion. EM1 l 7.5 l 12-40 l 14 l 17 l 25 l 45 l 60 l 75 l AW1 l V3
Re: HumanityRooz, having been through nearly identical circumstances recently, I feel for you!. It not only made me reflect upon my own life and cherish my family more(if thats possible), but also how I interact with others and that life is too short and unpredictable for pettiness.
Remember the good times and hug those nearest to you a little harder!. Rob
Re: Humanity
hats off rooz. my thoughts go out to his family - passing of a person close to you is something that you do not 'get over', its something that you live with. RIP
no matter how far away they may be gerry's photography journey
No amount of processing will fix bad composition - trust me i have tried.
Re: HumanityChris,
I hope that you've given Dion's family a call, and let them know that they're in your thoughts. g.

Re: Humanityno, i haven't called them yet. i think their close family and friends will be what the doctor ordered for now. i will though. tough to know how to approach it.
