Met Museum

Metropolitan museum of art in NY supposedly holds the largest collection of art and culture in the world. I went along to it on the weekend. I'm not really into art, except for the art of photography. But there was a huge collection of relics, artifacts and generic "old stuff" from everywhere around the world, and all throughout the ages...
Usual museum shooting conditions: no flash, no tripods, extremely low light - and me with only the 18-70DX kit lens. I previously don't hesitate to wind up the ISO to 1600, but on this occasion I disciplined myself to no higher than ISO640. Shutter speeds anywhere from 1/30 to 1/2. Time to rethink a VR lens... I had quite a number of 'shakers' ruin an otherwise good shot.
