Some practice pics before meeting up with the crew on Saturday..,
Want to take this photo with a 1.4x on next time and hopefully no cloud to show the airplane up a little clearer.

i love that spooky feel of the first V, geez you did well to balance that exposure perfectly. i've tried to get that same effect with the clouds numerous times with spectacular failure.

the plane is a bit small to add much to the photo though imo.

Cracker shots Big V,
I really like the first as Rooz said, spooky stuff. Was there any serious PP done to it to get the exposure so nicely balanced ?
The next two are great, is the first one cropped at all ? I'd like a little more space around the cormorant. The third I love, as its a little cheeky, like Heeelllo, I'm over here now!

Just have to agree they are all great. I would like to see just a little more of the splashing water on the right hand side of the second shot and maybe give him somewhere to go on the left.

Well done !!!

Very nice Moon there BigV! I love the soft yellow tinge to it and the plane really makes the image.

Spot meetering used on the Moon. Yes, would love the plane to be bigger but will have to wait till next month before I can try a different location - will use the landing strip at Adelaide airport if the weather allows and this should give a far better scale. As tot he birds will have to shoot them a little further away next time..
