Cable patterns. I tried (and failed) for symmetry on that bridge:

A pattern of shadows that caught my eye. Contrast pushed as far as it will go:

Patterns of the housing around there.

I reckon thats getting closer though! its amazing how one or two steps in either direction can make a world of difference to the possibility of symmetry..

#2 had me staring for a good couple of minutes...and i still got nothing - where was that taken? pavement?

Nice capture on the final one, hands and lens going everywhere!

Yes it was pavement. I haven't processed the GeoTags yet, but from context, it was near the junction of JamesCraig and the CityWestLink.
It was the shadow patterns that captured my eye, so I emphasised them in Post. I need to get rid of the sparkle from the asphalt though. Here is the unretouched original.

You had a good walk by the looks of it.
Some interesting shots here. I like the cable symetry attempt.

Greg

Those first 2 images are the standouts for me. Great concept with #2 as well.

definitely an interesting take! nice work on spotting it and having the eye to turn it into something!
