Great set, thanks for sharing.

I have to admit that #2 is my favourite, great capture of flight there (nice and sharp) and nice colours to boot!

Excellent cheatah !!! (appreciated more when you know the cage and location) and just love those backgrounds - looks like a good days shooting

Did you actually hand hold the beast and pan the macaw - if so you must be developing some muscles

Love all 4, well captured they evoke such different feelings, for me #1 the mother in law, #2 jus chillin munn, #3 snipers 1000yard stare, #4 the exotics.

Cheers Rob

Thanks for the compliments, the macaw was shot with the 400 on a monopod due to the low light. Would have been easier to shoot had I been in servo mode instead of one shoot mode. It was a good day due to the subtle light provided by the cloud. I must admit I am loving the 400

If you're ever sick of it I'll take it off your hands for half price ....a girl can dream can't she ?
Think we should have a Macaw shoot out meet and challenge those Nikon guys

Virgs - #2 stills the show, as I know how hard it is to capture a Macaw in flight, and that is a ripper :)

WOW- These are brilliant. I went to the zoo a couple of months back and was really disappointed with the results. Basically I got all drawn in to the moment and didn't go through the basics. You've inspired me to go back tomorrow and try again.

Just as well you have the 400 as I would not want to have my fingers near any of these.

I really like #4, very nice portrait.

Wow, very obviously need to make 400 standard issue when you walk through the gates of the Zoo, this are surperb! The first two are my favourites, but its a close margin. I love how close you feel to the monkey.

Awesome stuff!
