It's high time I put another post with some images to show what I've been up to lately. It's been a while and a lot has happened.
Any C&C welcome, I'm always happy to listen to opinions.

These are edited from RAW in PS then resized to 800 max, and jpg compression level 5 (medium).

These are taken at Douglas Creek in central Tasmania, about a day's walk to get to.

These are just beautiful. You've got it all in these shots- they just have such beautiful visual impact.

What do you learn from looking at stuff like this...1. ISO is king- keep it low 2. Spend lots on rock solid tripods. 3. think foreground, mid picture, background- it all matters 4. Change the angle/position to make it interesting 5. Use leading lines 6. Think about the picture and expose with an aim in mind eg slow exposure for velvet water and peaceful 'feel'.

Anyone care to add...

Beautiful! The only thing missing is a fat trout leaping out of the water! :D It's interesting that we would never have seen this place if you had not show us the images. You took us there. The magic of photography!

I love that type of effect on the water.

I'd assume you'd need a really still day to take these types of shots?
