With apologies to the late Steve Irwin. I guess this is a goanna stealing some sun, but if it's not, I'll just refer to it as a fat lizard on a log. It was about a metre long.

I don't blame ya, the tail of these moving thru the bush make it look like it could well be any nasty snake.

A connection, had there have been one, could have been scarier than you think, these guys are actually mildly venomous!
