First weekend with new 300mm lens - #3 - Snow Leopard

Normally the big cats just lie there and sleep, making for rather boring photos. I got lucky, with a pose straight down the barrel of the lens.

D300, AF-S 300mm.

nice and sharp there! A bit more eye contact would have been nice but I guess you get what you can if you want to see the rest of the zoo!

I figure that's pretty much as good as it gets from one of the big cats at the zoo!! :)

So inconsiderate.. How dare they just lie there and sleep all day with no consideration for us photographers.. ;)

Very nice, i love how the front legs are straight on to the camera leading you.

Is this Taronga you'r talking about? Arrgh Brisbane zoos suck lol... Other than a couple of Tigers, there are zero big cats readily on display in the whole state!
