Taken this evening, cropped to fit my desktop, and one of his mum's long hairs cloned out in PS. Still falling off the learning curve though,
I'd tried a couple of flash-less shots at 1600, and forgot to re-set, so there's a bit more noise than I'd have liked. Also warmed it up a bit, and some USM applied;

Your pic IMO is beautiful - such great eyes and sharp. I do like the sepia toning and I don’t like the high iso noise - so take some more Pete and keep posting

The shot is excellent - both proud parents should be more than happy with this one.

As an aside, I'm on broadband and it took quite a while to load the pic. We still have many members who use dialup so I suggest keeping the file size < 200K and the image dimensions no more than 800 pixels on the largest side.

Beautiful sparkling eyes... Mum & Dad would love this one...

Thanks for the positive feedback; I am of course somewhat biased in my opinion, as the subject is close to my heart! (3 1/2 year old son). I've re-sized the pic - apologies to those on a dial-up connection. I remember my frustration pre-broadband days when someone sent me a 3mb pic of their car!

Rokkstar - St. Albans is just emerging from a rubbish winter (rest of the country got some proper snow, no such luck here). Looking forward to an undoubtedly rubbish summer too. Sigh; how much for a ticket to Sydney ?
